Is anyone using it?  Would love to hear the good, bad, and ugly.

How do you like Salesforce Campaigns for email marketing? We moved to Salesforce Marketing Cloud a couple of years ago and it’s been …. challenging.

I’ve definitely heard that before.  My background is Salesforce development so if you don’t have a good admin (or team of admins) and a developer to help you out, it can definitely be challenging.

We use the basic features of Salesforce CRM campaigns and aren’t licensed for Marketing Cloud.  It works for us and our small team for now as we don’t do too many email campaigns.  Salesforce Marketing Cloud is an enterprise-class tool and can take a lot of time and work to get it right.  If you ever have a question I’d be more than happy to try and help out.  Feel free to reach out directly.

  • Mail, Sheets, Docs, File Sharing, Form Builders, etc – Google Workspace
  • Phone Lines – Google Voice
  • CRM – Salesforce Enterprise Edition, manages customers, quotes, orders
  • Email/Marketing – Salesforce Campaigns and Email Builder. (included above)
  • Social media scheduling – manual today, no additional software
  • Website and Website CMS / Store Front  – Webflow
  • Website Shopping Cart / Checkout – Foxy.io
  • Accounting – Quickbooks Online
  • Integrations – Make.com Keeps Salesforce Orders and Quickbooks in sync (free)
  • AI – ChatGPT, need to use it more (free version for now)

  • Email – Mailchimp and Toast
  • Social Media planning/scheduling – Later (really nice for multi-location, and doesn’t break the bank)
  • We occasionally use AI for fun projects and have used a mix of Midjourney and ChatGPT
  • Website – We work with a great firm in Chicago named Orbit Media Studios, and I manage the site via WordPress/Divi backend.
  • Business listings – We’re currently using Moz Local, but I’m investigating Marqii which is hospitality focused and includes review magement and online menus.
