Signed by the Governor, H.B. 718 provides that malt liquor served at a taste-testing event must be: (1) purchased by the retail licensee from a wholesale licensee; (2) purchased, at the retail price, by a licensed sales representative participating in the taste-testing event from existing stock available for purchase at the retail licensee’s premises; or (3) provided by a licensed sales representative participating in the taste-testing event or by a manufacturer participating in the taste-testing event and purchased in the State at the retail price. After the taste-testing event is concluded, the licensed sales representative or manufacturer shall remove all products supplied for the taste-testing event from the licensee’s premises.
