Passing the Assembly, A.B. 431 authorizes a person to operate one or more brew pubs in this State and increases the number of barrels of malt beverages that such a person may manufacture for all the brew pubs he or she operates in this State during a calendar year to 40,000 barrels. The bill additionally authorizes a person who operates one or more brew pubs in this state to transport malt beverages to a licensed person for the purpose of selling the malt beverages at a special event in this state. Other provisions prohibit a person who operates a brew pub from selling at retail more than 5,000 barrels of malt beverages per calendar year and provides that of the 5,000 barrels, not more than 1,000 barrels may be sold in kegs.
