This extended interactive workshop is led by Safe Bars, a national nonprofit leader in training hospitality professionals in skills for preventing and interrupting harassment. Safe Bars shares the benefits of prioritizing a respectful workplace and craft brewery owners, managers, and leaders with the skills to make that happen.

Amie Ward, Facilitator
Safe Bars
Amie Ward (she/her) hails from Baltimore, Maryland and is a hospitality veteran, wellness educator, and nationally recognized Health Coach. She has been outspoken on health, wellness, and gender equity in the service industry, traveling across the U.S. to educate and advocate for the global bar community through her business, The Healthtender. Amie began facilitating bystander intervention and de-escalation workshops with Safe Bars five years ago, and has become a lead trainer and curriculum designer for the organization. A decorated bartender, Amie is known for her love of sustainable bartending methodologies and high volume event batching, conducting seminars and bespoke cocktail classes on the topics. She has received nods from Wine Enthusiast, Tales of the Cocktail, The United States Bartenders Guild, Baltimore Magazine, and Baltimore Style. In her spare time, you can find Amie pulling trucks and competing in Strongwoman competitions, boxing, and skating around your local parks.
